Regenerative Futures Education & Sustainability Leadership Conference 2025

  • Shawnigan Lake School 1975 Renfrew Road Shawnigan Lake, BC, V8H 2G7 Canada (map)

Designed in collaboration with the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, the Regenerative Futures Education and Sustainability Leadership Conference, represents a unique opportunity for Canadian, North & South American and Pacific Rim schools and organisations to come together in a spirit of solidarity so that, together, we can nurture the culture shift required to meet the most urgent challenges of our time.

The event will be hosted by Shawnigan Lake School at their campus on Canada’s beautiful Pacific Coast.

Our Focus

The three-day conference will bring together students, teachers and leaders from national and international systems of education, with policymakers, leaders in business and industry and climate experts. Following Otto Scharmer’s “Theory U”, the conference experience will reflect First Nation Learning Principles and engage with sustainability and systems thinking through the connected lenses of Indigenous Knowledge, Regenerative Leadership & Sustainable Systems. Through a series of carefully choreographed, intense engagements and facilitated reflection, we will work collaboratively to investigate these themes and embrace the imperative of education and leadership to shape a pathway to a better, more peaceful and sustainable future.

Through a dynamic combination of leadership action groups, story telling, and critical, compassionate engagement, the conference will enthuse delegates with a spirit of active hope. The experience will empower delegates to lead with renewed purpose and model sustainable practices whilst providing opportunities to connect with leadership across sectors.

As a graduate of the Regenerative Futures Education and Sustainability Leadership Conference. delegates will join an active and dynamic alumni network of sustainability thought leaders who can inspire change locally, regionally and globally. This unique community will support you in driving positive impact wherever you are and whatever you do
